Citizenship and Justice in the Lives and Thoughts of Nineteenth-Century American Workers
David Montgomery worked as a machinist during the 1950s until he was blacklisted. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, taught at the University of Pittsburgh, and then at Yale University, where he is presently a Farnam Professor of History.
